Welcome to JVMC
Serving the Oak Park Community
Serving health care needs of uninsured drug users, sex workers, trans folks, and their families.
JVMC is a UC Davis School of Medicine Student-Run Clinic offering unbiased health care to individuals who use intravenous drugs, work in the sex trade, or identify as transgender, as well as to their families. We provide free primary health care services to the uninsured population in the Oak Park area of Sacramento, CA. The JVMC mission is fulfilled through the service of UC Davis undergraduates, medical, PA, NP students and the generosity of physicians.
Our Mission
Unbiased Health

We seek to provide basic medical care and health care education in a non-judgmental and easily accessible manner. JVMC is staffed by medical students from the University of California, Davis, School of Medicine and School of Nursing. Students provide medical care under the supervision of an attending physician.

Our Patients
Underserved Population

No matter your life history everyone is welcome at JVMC. Many patients arrive for hypertension and diabetes management, as well as wound care and abscess drainage. Anyone who comes to JVMC is welcome. We are known in the community for caring about forgotten populations.
